How often should your cat receive wet food?
You may already have wondered whether cats need wet food. The answer is clear. In nature, a cat would absorb a significant proportion of its liquid from its prey animals. A mouse, for example, is roughly 80 % moisture. As a result, many cats have evolved with a low urge to drink. To ensure that your cat consumes sufficient water, put wet food in her bowl every day. Many experts recommend mixed feeding consisting of two parts (in relation to the nutritional value) good wet cat food with a high meat ratio and one part dry food. And, of course, drinking water must be available at all times.
