Commitment & responsibility

Happy Cat has a responsibility towards people animals and the environment. It fulfils this responsibility with a wide range of initiatives and projects.

We take the well-being of our pets very much to heart. This is why we do not concentrate exclusively on a healthy diet for our animals – we intentionally participate in social projects to benefit both two and four-legged friends. We have already supported many animal shelters and animal protection organisations with donations of food or low-cost food offers. We are also active participants in the following projects:

Tierärzte ohne Grenzen e.V.
The work of Tierärzte ohne Grenzen e.V. (Vets Without Borders) benefits the health of animals, people and the environment its six project countries in East Africa. The people there have a rich history and often extensive knowledge that is passed on down the generations. The organisation wants to preserve this legacy and extend it with veterinary and human medical knowledge. The knowledge, experiences and life strategies of the people in the projects are at the very heart of the organisation’s work, which is to help them to live a healthy and autonomous life in harmony with their animals and in a healthy environment.

Happy Cat supports the organisation’s work: And with every purchase of a VET product, you further the goal of a healthy coexistence between animals, people and their environment – a donation aimed at promoting positive, sustainable development of animal welfare, food security and veterinary services.

Environmental protection

It is clear to us what we need to do.
Some of the electricity we use is produced by our own photovoltaic systems We participate in the dual system (Green Dot) which allows us to reduce our consumption of CO2, crude oil, etc.

- Our high-tech production facilities are kind to the environment and save both water and energy
- All of our box packaging is made from 100% recycled paper
- Up to 80% of our raw ingredients come from the region. Short transport distances mean less pollution

Augsburg Zoo
For species-appropriate keeping of animals
Lots of measures are needed to allow zoo animals to be kept in the most species-appropriate conditions possible: appropriately designed enclosures, individual animal species able to express their natural behaviour and species-appropriate feeding of the animals are just a few examples that today’s zoos have to consider.

To be able to finance such measures, the zoo needs financial aid from sponsors like Happy Cat.

With our sponsorship, kindergarten groups and school classes, in particular, are able to learn about the animal kingdom in theory and in practice.
